Intentar estar en ‘tos los guisos’ y no perderte ‘ná de ná’ en la feria es como correr una triple maratón con obstáculos, léase políticos al asalto, sevillanas por doquier, y échame ‘una cervecita más’ La feria no es lo mío, pero les aseguro que el que prueba, repite

TODO el que me conoce, incluso de oídas, lo sabe. La feria no es lo mío, pero qué le vamos a hacer, esto del periodismo obliga a lidiar toros de extraña casta, así que la jornada de ayer había que tomarla con grandes dosis de profesionalidad y, ¿por qué no? con ganas de pasarlo bien y empaparse del espíritu casetero, que algo tiene que tener, digo yo. Así que, escéptico, pero con ganas, la mañana comenzaba a la espera de que a las ocho y media me despertase algún combo fiestero con tambores, vientos y panderetas retumbando bajo el balcón, pero no, este año los pasacalles han sufrido el recorte de la crisis, así que la jornada de feria empezaba con poco ambiente. A las diez, a la calle, que hay que contemplar los balcones decorados en el centro, leer las quintillas,  casi sonreír con las carocas y poner cara de turista para visitar las exposiciones de pájaros y plantas en el patio del Ayuntamiento. No puedo obviar que los pajarillos en jaulas no me molan nada, aunque reconozco la paciencia y el cariño con el que los cuidan y mantienen alejados de tanto depredador como hay en el campo, y una vez al año, nos los enseñan bajo el paraguas protector del consistorio, y junto a esa magnífica colección de plantas, bonsáis incluidos, que demuestra la paciencia y el buen hacer de algunos de nuestros conciudadanos, empeñados en que el Corpus no sea sólo casetas, polvo, fino y tapas. Por cierto, había más bonsáis en el Centro Cultural Gran Capitán, pero coge un poco a trasmano si quieres subir a la feria del medio día. Era preferible disfrutar como un chaval en Bibrambla, con carruseles, juegos gigantes (menuda caída tiene el castillo inflable) y cuentos, infantiles claro, que los otros no son novedad en la ciudad, ni siquiera en feria.

A la una de la tarde el sol pega como ni te imaginas, la temperatura se acerca a los 35 grados y llegar al ferial, en coche, es la mayor locura en la que puedas meterte a sabiendas, menos mal que la tarjeta que me prestan en la redacción me permite aparcar en el mismo hueco que los coches de las autoridades (a esa hora no estaban), alguna ventaja tenía que tener esto de ser cronista de feria, así que listo y con los ‘sentíos’ a tope para no perderte ni una pizca de esa gracia y salero que Dios nos ha dado a los granainos, y que por suerte sólo dura una semana.

Desfile de glamour

Por la puerta principal, bajo la representación que los chicos de Vicente Aguilera han hecho de la plaza de toros, pleno al quince, todo un desfile de glamour, Álvarez de la Chica, Maríajo López, Chema Rueda todavía con muletas, Pezzi… la plana mayor del PSOE provincial, que celebraba el viernes su copa con alcaldes y amigos. Menos mal porque el ambiente, en la feria del medio día, ayer, «se ha quedado un poco resentido porque la noche del jueves fue tremendo y todo el mundo está durmiendo», decían los de Los 17. De la Chica cuenta que esa reunión se hace siempre el martes «pero nos pusieron sesión parlamentaria, así que hemos pasado al viernes». Aparicio, José Antonio, no ha perdido su ironía de los tiempos de concejal, «A ver que cuentas porque yo no te he dicho ná», y Chema Rueda, el azote del consistorio popular, me recuerda que no me vio en el concierto de Gary Moore, y que él sí que estuvo, fichó como buen roquero y amante del blues y en silla de ruedas por la caída que sufrió hace unas semanas.

A las tres, el ambiente huele a viandas. Esto se anima. Primero en La Marimorena para degustar aceite del bueno, y ya con el paladar hecho, vámonos para El Revuelo, unos callos, que a pesar del calor, entran. En la caseta municipal, tapas por doquier, mientras los técnicos terminan de montar el escenario para la zambra de la noche… y «una cervecita más, ‘quillo’, que la tarde es ‘mú’ larga». Del consistorio ferial a La Peña de ‘Los 17’ en busca de un poco de arroz, que celebraban su concurso de paellas.
Y ya han dado las cuatro de la tarde, y el sol sigue ahí, pleno de potencia, con 39 grados de vellón.

Al caer la noche

La noche es otra cosa. El bullicio se incrementa hasta cotas insospechadas. Un reguero humano toma calles, plazas y casetas. Aparcar, casi imposible, y para los mortales, cuatro euros en el aparcamiento oficial, un sablazo. En una de las casetas (nos callamos el nombre), es su última noche, porque para el sábado se la han dejado a el Fandi para que celebre su cumpleaños con los amigos. En La Ideal, el ambiente a tope y en la municipal, Magomigue ha hecho ya de las suyas. Aún no se de donde había salido ese As de copas que me sacó de detrás de la oreja… Va a empezar la Zambra del Sacromnonte y aunque no te guste el flamenqueo merece la pena verlo, y después, una vuelta por las ‘disco’ haber si cae algo de rock duro, pero nada de nada, ni siquiera un techno en condiciones. Sólo bakalao y más bakalao  de ‘tunda’, ‘tunda’ de alta potencia. Me quedo con las sevillanas y alguna ‘Reja’ y bulerías

El día no da para más. A ciertas horas cierra la rotativa y hay que contar la jornada. Seguro que piensan que mi idea es de, una vez y no más…   Pero no, la conclusión es sencilla, un día es un día, y mañana… ¿por qué no?
